New Features Coming Back to Windows 10 Search

On the announcement page of Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 20236, Microsoft also immediately announced a new feature that you may now be able to get starting with Windows 10 1903 or later.

The new features include changes to the Search page in Windows 10, one of which is the presence of an “x” to delete recent searches individually.

In addition, the search page will display the last four items that the user has searched for in the search box below, which includes applications, files, settings, and URLs.

In addition, if the user has never used the search feature, there will not display any items and the recent list will be hidden.

If you don’t really like the display of recent searches there, you can disable it by going to Settings> Search> Permission and History, then please disable Search history on this device.

Changes have been sent via the server-side.

For those of you who are using Windows 10 1903 or newer, you should have got the new features and changes on the search page, because these changes were sent by Microsoft from the server-side.

“This change is rolling out server-side to everyone on version 1903 and higher,” Microsoft said.

Even though this feature looks simple and doesn’t make too many changes, for some people who often use the search feature the presence of the ‘x’ button to delete items individually is certainly a good thing, especially for hiding and deleting things that don’t need to be displayed.
